Hot August Nights runs July 30 through August 8, 2027, across the Reno-Sparks region and Virginia City, NV. It's the nation's largest nostalgic classic car event, marking its 41st year in 2027. More than 6,000 officially registered vehicles (1979 and older) take over the region for ten days, drawing an estimated 500,000+ spectators and generating over $100 million in local economic impact.
The event is free and open to the public across all ten days, with reserved tickets available for select venues.
What's During the Week
The event kicks off in historic Virginia City with a capped Show-n-Shine and Poker Walk before shifting to Reno-Sparks for the bulk of the week. From there it's nightly free concerts, controlled cruises through downtown Reno and Sparks, drag races at The Nugget, and the MAG Auctions collector car sale at the Reno-Sparks Convention Center. The week closes with the Grand Finale Parade down Virginia Street and an awards ceremony crowning the year's Grand Champion.
