Monterey Car Week runs roughly ten days each August, closing on Sunday, August 15, 2027, with the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance at The Lodge at Pebble Beach, 1700 17-Mile Drive, Pebble Beach, CA 93953. It's widely considered the most prestigious car event in the world, dating back to 1950. More than 100,000 visitors come to Monterey County countywide across the full week, spending an estimated $130 million, with the Concours itself drawing roughly 15,000 attendees on the day.
The Concours is by invitation for entrant vehicles, but general admission tickets are available to the public and typically sell out well in advance.
What's During the Week
Car Week runs across 35-plus official events on the Monterey Peninsula, from the Rolex Monterey Motorsports Reunion at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca to the collector-car auctions run by RM Sotheby's, Gooding & Company, Bonhams, and Mecum. The Pebble Beach Tour d'Elegance sends more than 150 Concours entrants out on a public driving route before judging, and the self-mocking Concours d'Lemons runs as the unofficial counterpoint to all of it. The Concours d'Elegance itself has raised more than $45 million for local charities since 1950, including a record $4 million in 2025.
